Terrain Black Slim Flood
A 30-watt work light that disappears into the vehicle until you switch it on: 44 millimetres tall, dark optics, and a wide, soft-edged flood of 2,330 measured lumens. Reversing light, ATV light, trailer light — owners find new places for it.

Fitting guide
An evening in the garage.
Bracket, harness, trigger, aim. Here is the whole job in order — most owners say it took them an hour or two.
- 01
Find a flat spot
Two bolts through the foot. On bumpers and racks use the Purelux magnet foot or a tube mount; allow for the foot's stand-off.
- 02
Wire it
DT-2 connector into a Purelux harness, or red to a switched +, black to the chassis. 9–32 V, 1.3 A at 24 V.
- 03
As a reversing light
Take the trigger from the car's reversing-light feed. On a CAN-bus car, the XBB relay reads the signal from the OBD port.
- 04
Aim low and level
A flood beam lights the ground, not the horizon. Level it so the soft top edge sits below eye height.
Keeping it like new
Wash the lens, don't scrape it
Polycarbonate scratches. Soak road salt off with water before wiping, and never use an ice scraper on the lens.
Grease the connector
A dab of dielectric grease on the DTP pins keeps winter out of the connector for years.
Check the bolts after the first week
Brackets settle. One turn on the stabilizer and foot bolts after the first 500 km stops the rattle before it starts.
Owner tips
- As reversing lights
Two Slims on the reverse-light feed with a relay harness is the most common install. On CAN-bus cars take the signal with an XBB relay.
- Flood or spot
This is the Flood. The Slim Spot is the same body with a narrow beam for reach.
- Mind the connector
One owner found the DT-2 plug loose on his cable; check it clicks fully home.
- Bracket stand-off
The foot holds the light a little proud of the mounting point — allow for it in tight spaces.
Measured, not promised
The numbers from the lab.
Every Purelux is measured in Valostore's light laboratory in Oulu: output, range at 1 and 0.25 lux, power draw and colour temperature. We publish what we measured, even when it is lower than the box.
Measured output is 19 % below the manufacturer's declared figure — and that is the number we publish. Colour temperature 5,599 K measured; range 64 m at 1 lux and 129 m at 0.25 lux.
Modes · output, range and power — measured
Range is the distance at which the beam still delivers 1 lux (roughly a full moon) or 0.25 lux. Measured at 24 V with a clean lens; full lab curves are available to professional buyers on request.

Why Terrain Slim
The work light you forget is there.
The Terrain Black Slim is 157 millimetres wide and 44 tall, with dark optics that make it vanish against a black bumper. Six Osram LEDs put 2,330 measured lumens into a wide flood with a soft edge — the pattern you want when you are backing a trailer or lighting a yard, not a hotspot.
It draws 1.3 amps at 24 volts, takes 9–32 volts, and is sealed to IP68. The foot takes two bolts and the DT-2 connector clicks into any Purelux harness.
Owners fit pairs as reversing lights on vans and Sharans, on ATVs and tractors where space is tight, and on trailers. At this price, most buy two.
